Graduate Medical Education Announces New Advisory Group
Graduate Medical Education proposed a program coordinator advisory group to all Residency and Fellowship personnel to improve communication between program coordinators and GME staff relating to meeting and training content, creating meeting agendas and GME-led training calendars for program coordinators, and creating best practices regarding program coordinator tasks.
The goals of this new initiative are twofold:
- Ensure meeting content quality by reviewing information provided, timing of information, and method of information sharing;
- Create training calendar for the year (monthly GME/subgroup led trainings).
The members were peer-nominated and selected by GME through membership criteria. The peer nominated and selected members are:
- Susan Wack Lenoir- Internal Medicine Residency Coordinator
- Lara Guidry- Anesthesiology Residency Coordinator
- Amanda Blackburn- OBGYN Baton Rouge Residency Coordinator
- Cecilia Estep- Pulmonology/Nephrology Fellowship Coordinator
- Maggie Niles- PM&R and PM&R Residency & Fellowship Coordinator
The group, named Coordinator Advisory Group (C.A.G.), has agreed to sit on this advisory group from January 2023-June 2024.
