Dr. Marcus Bachhuber (Community & Population Health) recently published a paper on opioid prescribing in the International Journal of Drug Policy.

Department Head Dr. Cynthia J. Dr. Marcus Bachhuber (Community and Population Medicine) recently had two manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals: Characteristics and health service use of Medicaid-insured individuals filling naloxone under a standing order in Louisiana in the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA) and A Policy Approach to Reducing Low-Value Device-Based Procedure Use in the Milbank Quarterly.

Dr. Julijana Conic (IM Resident), Dr. Juzar Ali (Pulmonary/Critical Care), Dr. Brian Boulmay (Hematology/Oncology) and former LSU faculty Dr. Nicole Lapinel recently published a case report in Respiratory Medicine Case Reports.

Dr. Ashley Wennerstrom’s (Community & Population Medicine and Center for Healthcare Value and Equity) work related to community health workers was widely featured in a recent issue of the Healthcare Journal of New Orleans.

Dr. Wennerstrom also authored Community Health Worker Team Integration in Medicaid Managed Care: Insights from a National Study, with C Haywood, D Smith, D Jindal, C Rush, and G Wilkinson.
