Margaret Larsen demonstrates a human heart and lung to a Girl ScoutThis hands-on, in-person event is an exciting and engaging day filled with opportunities to learn about STEM, life skills, entrepreneurship and outdoor skills from organizations hosting exhibits and presentations. Over 1,000 Girl Scouts visited exhibits held throughout the Southern University of New Orleans campus. The AWIS-SL exhibit included the stations: Dress Like a Scientist, Learn to Pipette, Make a Neuron Using Colored Pipe Cleaners, and View the Human Brain and Heart.
