Leslie Capo, Director of Information Services

Margaret RichardSecond-year medical student Margaret Richard recently completed an eight-week policy fellowship at the Association of Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) in Washington, DC as part of the requirements of the health policy honors program. ACAP is the national trade association which represents not-for-profit Safety Net Health Plans across the nation.

Earlier this year, three reports that included findings from Ms. Richard’s research were disseminated to ACAP members, stakeholder organizations, and made available on their website.

Richard plans to focus on additional research, analysis and a manuscript to complete requirements to graduate in May 2026 as an MD with Honors in Health Policy. The Health Policy Honors Program is supported with funding from AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana.
