Research Day

Pediatrics Research Day is held annually in May. In 2024, the LSU Pediatrics Department partnered with Manning Family Children's Hospital New Orleans and the Tulane School of Medicine Pediatrics Department to host this event.  Over 50 oral and poster presentations showcased the outstanding work of our faculty, trainees, and students.

Past Success

The pediatrics department held its annual Pediatric Research Day on Friday, May 2, in Worley Hall. Last year’s event was a big success with over 50/nearly 60 oral and poster presentations. You can view the program and abstract booklet for last year's Research Day here.

Pediatric Research Day: May 15, 2026

We are excited to announce that Pediatric Research Day will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Worley Hall. Last year’s event was a big success, and we are looking forward to continued growth this year. Research Day builds on the momentum, highlighting the ongoing collaboration and innovative research of our faculty, trainees, and students across partnering institutions. The deadline to submit abstracts is February 26, 2026.

Faculty Submissions:
Pediatric Research Day 2026 Oral Presentations

Faculty are invited to submit proposals for oral presentations of recently published pediatric research at Research Day 2026, the morning of May 15, 2026. Exact presentation times and durations will be determined based on the number of submissions and interest.
