Plenary talk on “Using Social Media for Science” on Friday, March 20, 2020 by Dr. Paige Jarreau, Director of Science Communication and Social Media, LifeOmic and Science Communication Specialist, LSU College of Science. The event is sponsored by the LA CaTS Professional Development Core, and will be held at UMC on Friday, March 20th, 2020 from 12-1:00 PM. RSVP by February 28! (information)

Tiger Pride will host a Safe Zone training for students only, on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 1- 4 pm in MEB Seminar Room 5. Safe Zone training is a free training program on effective LGBTQ knowledge, awareness, and allyship. All students are welcome to attend, but attendance is limited to the first 30 people who sign up. Additionally, attendance of all three hours of training is required if you would like to receive a SafeZone sticker. Please email Nanci Zhang (nzhang@lsuhsc.edu) if you are interested. Thank you!

LSU Pediatrics Research Day, Children's Hospital Conference Center on Friday, May 8, 2020

The Ophthalmology Department/LSU Eye Center will be holding its Annual Research Day on May 30, 2020 with Douglas A. Jabs, MD, Director of the Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis and Professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Jabs will present the Henry J. L. Van Dyk, MD, Memorial Lecture on the systematic treatment of the uveitides. Email jbutri@lsuhsc for details to attend.
