Tour de Lis Charity Bike Ride and Medical Fair Fundraiser 2026

On March 28, 2026, the Tour de Lis Charity Bike Ride and Medical Fair Fundraiser, organized by the Cancer Association of Louisiana, served as a community-focused event promoting cancer awareness and prevention. During the medical fair, LSU faculty members Dr. Robert Peden and Dr. Vilija Vaitaitis conducted oral cancer screenings, with support from several LSU medical students. This collaborative effort provided valuable preventive care services while also offering students meaningful hands-on clinical experience in community outreach.

An older man wearing a white coat and purple cap speaks animatedly under a green canopy, gesturing with his hands as he addresses a small group of young adults in medical scrubs gathered around a table with purple materials. The group stands outdoors in a sunny park with grass, trees draped in Spanish moss, and bicycles visible in the background.

A group of about a dozen young adults and faculty wearing white lab coats and medical scrubs pose for a photo in front of a green canopy tent at an outdoor event. A banner behind them reads “LSU Health Sciences Center Department of Otolaryngology” with a tiger logo. A table with informational materials and an orange drink cooler is in front, and trees and buildings are visible in the sunny background.
