Dr. Luis Marrero Awarded LSUHSC-NO Research Enhancement Program Grant

Dr. Luis Marrero

It is with great enthusiasm that we share that Dr. Marrero's project “Using the Articularis genu to Surrogate Status of the Quadriceps femoris While Evaluating the Paracrine Potential of Skeletal Muscle During Knee Osteoarthritis” was funded by the LSUHSC-NO Research Enhancement Program through FY22-23. The project is designed to evaluate the AG as a surrogate of quadriceps status and paracrine influence on structural components of osteoarthritis such as synovial fibrosis in association to functional limitations and symptomology. The award is for $67,552 and will be managed by Dr. Luis Marrero.

Congratulations to Dr. Marrero and his team!
