Application Process
General Surgery Applicants
Applications for residency positions will only be accepted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). The application timeline for the 2024 match can be found here.
Complete applications through ERAS should include:
- Application form
- Recent photograph
- Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE or "Dean's letter")
- 3 Additional Letters of Recommendation (LoRs)
- Official Medical School Transcripts
- USMLE Scores sent from the NBME
- Personal statement
- ECFMG Status Report (International Medical Graduates only)
- COMLEX-USA Transcript (optional)
All applications are screened by a Review Committee. Interviews are by invitation
only and are conducted in November, December and January each year.
